Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and Good Technology™, a leader in secure mobility, today announced a strategic partnership that will provide the enterprise with an advanced mobile security solution for Samsung mobile devices. This solution combines KNOX™, Samsung’s end-to-end secure mobile platform solution with the market-leading Good secure container and Good-secured apps. Samsung will create a unique “Good Secure Domain” on KNOX-enabled mobile devices within any Good-secured mobile app will be able to operate, allowing customers to confidently deploy Good’s broad mobile app ecosystem and app-level security, while leveraging KNOX’s Android hardware security solution.

“Good is the first partner afforded a secure domain on KNOX-enabled devices, and we believe this integration will greatly accelerate Android adoption for our enterprise customers,” said Injong Rhee, Senior Vice President of KNOX Business, IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics. “We are excited to be able to offer customers a solution that combines KNOX hardware- and OS-level security with the Good secure container and app ecosystem.”

“This is a huge win for Samsung and Good customers. Samsung KNOX introduces security for Android at the hardware and operating system level. Combined with KNOX’s ‘Root of Trust’ security model, the “Good Secure Domain” on KNOX satisfies the requirements of even the most security-conscious organizations.

Samsung and Good will introduce “Good Secure Domain” on the Samsung KNOX platform in the second half of 2014, and are showing an early access release of the integration at the Samsung booth in Hall 3 at Mobile World Congress.
